In order to make it as convenient as possible for you to find information like this, I have provided on this links page, connections to the main organizations providing training in veterinary complementary therapies such as acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal medicine and others. Center for Integrative Animal Health (CIAH) - The purpose of CIAH is to study, develop and teach complementary and natural medical approaches to animal health care, both companion animals (large and small) as well as wildlife. Over the past seven years, the center has supported advanced study and development of various veterinary natural therapies, including acupuncture, chiropractic, and botanical medicine.

American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) - This organization is committed to develop and maintain the highest standards of professional competence and conduct, encourage improvement of professional and postdoctoral veterinary medical education; inform the public about matters of animal and public health; work with other health-related professional organizations on matters of mutual and public concern; support research in the continuing effort to improve animal and human health; promote and enhance service to clients, animal patients, and the general public; recognize and encourage outstanding accomplishments by veterinarians; keep its members informed about correct activities and concerns of the profession through its journals; provide group benefits to its members.

International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS)
- This is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the practice of veterinary acupuncture, as an integral part of the total veterinary health care delivery system. The Society endeavors to establish uniformly high standards of veterinary acupuncture through its educational programs and accreditation examination. IVAS seeks to integrate veterinary acupuncture and the practice of western veterinary science. IVAS offers a website listing veterinarians in your area who are certified in veterinay acupuncture by IVAS.

Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine (CSU) offers postgraduate training in veterinary acupuncture and manipulative therapies. You can find veterinarians trained by CSU at their website.

The Chi Institute for Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine was established by Dr. Xie, a dear friend and colleague who was a professor of veterinary acupuncture and herbology at Beijing Veterinary School. He is now on faculty at the University of Florida Veterinary School where he teaches and see patients for acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine. Dr. Xie offers training for veterinarians in veterinary acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine through the Chi Institute. American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture (AAVA): The AAVA offers postgraduate continuing education courses in veterinary acupuncture.

American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA)

Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy (AVH): The AVH offers postgraduate training in veterinary homeopathy. To find veterinarians trained in classical
